I agree America is collapsing fast, and it is also dragging on the economies of its former allies and partners, like Canada and Europe.

The difference is that for most of us, like here in Europe, much of "The Trump Effect" is not just temporary, but also positive in the longer term as we swivel to greater independence, freer trade with China and Asia, and a wholesale rejection of both Trump 's America and Putin's Russia.

Canadians too have elected Carney and found a new enthusiasm for their own country. Great to see!

So whilst the 4.3% of the World's population that live in the USA may be driving off a cliff, the rest of the world is getting used to getting on without it. Bad for you guys but ,I have to say, much better for the rest of us.

Sorry!

I note JD Vance being positioned as the alternate POTUS what with his fence mending trips to Europe and lavish praise for Europe. In particular Britain's role is becoming clearer, the essential bridge between a Vance Presidency and Europe, America needing to pivot entirely to the Pacific. Sooner rather than later, Trump will be medically retired and Vance sworn in. After a short interim settling down, the tariffs will be ended, morphing instead to sanctions against recalcitrant regional powers, isolating the PRC without interference with its own trade links. The MAGA clown show will shortly depart the Ring to thunderous acclaim and loud farting noises as Vance attempts to restore sanity. With 400 million guns in civilian hands it will be a spectacularly violent if brief departure as the clowns overreach and overestimate their importance to the world.
